Every PDF can carry viewer preferences: hints a reader uses when it opens the file. You can request a single-page or two-column layout, open straight to bookmarks or thumbnails, fit the document to the window, or show the document title in the window bar. These live in the PDF catalog and are applied without touching a single page of content.
How it works
- Choose the PDF.
- Pick a page layout and which panel opens (optional).
- Tick any window options you want to request.
- Click Apply and download the file.

Frequently asked questions
Will every reader obey these settings?
No, and the tool says so. Viewer preferences are requests defined by the PDF standard. Acrobat, Preview and most browsers honor them, but any reader may ignore a setting. Your page content is never changed.
Does this change the pages themselves?
No. Only the document catalog is edited. Text, images and page count stay exactly the same.
