Overlay PDF
Combine two PDFs as layers — letterhead + document, background + text, template + invoice.
Overlay places one PDF on top of — or behind — another. Put company letterhead behind a plain document, drop a “DRAFT” stamp on top, or lay content onto a branded template. You choose which file is the stamp, whether it goes over or under, how it is sized, and how transparent it is. Everything is combined on your device.
How it works
- Choose the base PDF (your document).
- Choose the overlay PDF (letterhead, background or stamp).
- Pick over or under, size and opacity.
- Click Combine and download.
Example uses
- Adding pre-printed letterhead behind an invoice.
- Stamping “CONFIDENTIAL” or “DRAFT” over every page.
- Placing a certificate’s text onto a decorative template.
Frequently asked questions
What if the two files have a different number of pages?
A single-page overlay is repeated onto every page. For multi-page overlays you can repeat/cycle them or apply page-for-page.
Does the overlay have to be a PDF?
Yes, both layers are PDFs. To use an image as a background, convert it first with Images to PDF.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. After the page has loaded, nothing about your document is sent to a server — no upload, no account, no watermark.
